Thai Son average salary is 5,300,000 VND (246.5 USD)/month. We pay above minimum wage because we have to in order to encourage workers to continue working in our factory.

Overtime is very important to Vietnamese workers. If a factory does not offer overtime then workers will quit and find a factory that does. Why, their goal is to make as much money as possible. This is contrary to what most westerners believe and gives you an insight to the workers values. The more work the better.
